About The Park 

Lime Ridge Open Space is located on 175 acres northwest of Treat Boulevard, between San Miguel and Cowell Roads. The main entrance is via a parking lot off Treat Boulevard.

Nestled in the heart of Concord, Lime Ridge Open Space is a sprawling park spanning over 1,200 acres of pristine wilderness. With its vast network of trails, this open space is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and their four-legged friends alike. From leisurely strolls to challenging hikes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the highlights of Lime Ridge Open Space is its dog-friendly policy. Dogs are welcome on most of the trails in the park, making it a perfect destination for a day of bonding and exploration with your furry companion. Plantings of native oaks, grasses, and wildflowers will help to restore the natural oak/savanna grassland, boosting wildlife diversity and abundance. The cities of Concord and Walnut Creek jointly own almost 1,200 acres of pure open space and 25 kilometers of pathways.

 

Getting To Lime Ridge Open Space In Concord, California Is Easy And Convenient. Follow These Directions:

1. By Car:

  • From downtown Concord, head east on Clayton Road.
  • Turn right onto Ayers Road.
  • Continue on Ayers Road until you reach the entrance to Lime Ridge Open Space, which will be on your left.
  • There is ample parking available at the entrance of the park.

 

2. By Public Transportation:

  • Take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to Concord Station.
  • From the station, you can take a taxi or ride-sharing service to Lime Ridge Open Space, which is just a short drive away.

 

3. By Bicycle:
